AALTO by KER MER Collaboration
AALTO means wave in Finnish. Tuomas Merikoski is a passionate lover of Music, Design and Nature. A graduate of IFM, he worked at Givenchy with Ricardo Tisci and Louis Vuitton alongside Kim Jones, amongst other fashion houses. Rich from these experiences, he created his own label, AALTO, affirming a true creative singularity inspired by the untamed and contrasting beauty of his native country.
Deeply connected to water, Tuomas’ favorite element, AALTO naturally echoes the philosophy of KER MER through the know-how of L. Jeandot’s sails. Between creative innovation and commitment to sustainable fashion that respects our oceans, AALTO joins forces with KER MER to launch a SS20 collection of accessories made from recycled sailcloth.
This collaboration on AALTO accessories in upcycled sail from the Sailmaker L. Jeandot is made in France and authenticated By KER MER.
