Why Our Charter of Excellence?

Due to the limits of the current eco-responsible labels, KER MER authenticates the raw material and its transformation by virtue of its Charter of Excellence. We seek to limit the ecological footprint of the products we consume and to ensure that we do not deplete our natural resources.We authenticate them thanks to the following criteria:

EXCELLENCE

We are interested in exceptional and ambitious projects because of their level of innovation, their human dimension, their artistic and cultural wealth and the good they provide to humanity.

ETHICAL BEHAVIOUR

These projects must be committed and developed by experts following Ethics, transparency and respect.

GLOCAL

We support territories for the growth of their economic autonomy by valorizing beyond borders, the wealth resulting from a territory and a climate favorable to their development.

ORGANIC AND RECYCLING

We showcase organic crops and transformations, without the use of inputs and chemicals, as well as the prudent use of water, but also the recycling of elements that are harmful to the environment.

AESTHETICS

Creativity is placed at the service of Aesthetics to combine it with environmental commitments.

Raw material

The choice is based on exceptional natural materials according to historical criteria, its geographical specificities characteristic of a territory and a culture or a recycled material.

The choice is based on an exceptional and innovative know-how (artisanal or industrial), characteristic of a territory and a culture.

Respect for the people involved in the production chain
We ensure that our partners, producers and craftsmen respect the workers in the production process (working conditions, remuneration, age, non-discrimination). We reference producers according to their transparency and their charter on working conditions.
We are sensitive to the learning and transmission of know-how. We also seek to promote the development and economic empowerment of local communities.
Respect for animals involved in the production chain
If animals are involved in the process of producing the raw material, this must be done in compliance with these rules:

  • they must spend a lot of their lives outdoors
  • they are not fed on GMOs
  • the raw material production must not hurt nor kill them.

Transparency and Authenticity in the Treatment of Raw Material

In line with our values of transparency, we are aware of the difficulty of producing a 100% organic material. However, we authenticate that our referenced materials are as organic as possible within the limits of existing processes. The personal commitment of the experts will provide an authentic certification that will not be provided by the official labels, because they are at the heart of the projects.

The culture of the raw material must respect the living and the cycles of nature:

  • without GMOs,
  • without toxic products harmful to the environment and to man (chemical inputs, pesticides and herbicides),
  • with a prudent use of water and energy.

For the transformation of the raw material, we make sure that all the stages are without heavy metals or lead, without chemical inputs, and without any other toxic product harmful to water, the environment and to the man, with prudent use of water, and industrial wastewater treatment.
